REALTOR® of Distinction: Jana Bantz

The adjectives that best describe Jana Bantz are “accommodating” and “diligent.” Knowing Jana’s professional and personal accomplishments, it’s easy to recognize that Jana exemplifies the real estate agent clients would be relieved to have working for them.

During Jana’s career as a REALTOR®, she has consistently proven to be one of the best agents in the business. Her credentials include graduating from the STAR Development Program and being awarded the distinct designations of Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) in 1997 and GRI, Graduate of REALTOR® Institute in 2004. Other accomplishments include being awarded Rookie of the Year her first year in business and being in the top 25 Prudential Agents in the Tri-County area. Laudably, Jana is within the top two percent of Prudential agents nationwide in gross sales, selling $68+ million worth of real estate since1996. She has helped families relocate throughout the U.S. with clients who are military, corporate, private and local transferees. Her specialty areas include Summerville, Goose Creek, Charleston, West Ashley and Mount Pleasant, and she likes working with new construction homes start to finish.

Jana continually keeps her clients abreast of important information, going above and beyond what many REALTORS® do for their clients. For current customers who cannot be at a building site as often as they’d like, Jana sends digital photos to keep them constantly in the loop. For past clients, she writes and mails a quarterly newsletter that includes pertinent information: Any changes in relevant laws, the local real estate market conditions, insurance information and a brief family biography on a recent buyer or seller. With this type of personal consideration it’s no wonder that 50 percent of her clients are referrals from past customers.

Her drive of perfection stems from her love of working with different people and helping families move and get settled, alleviating stress that usually accompanies relocating. To be sure, this is an obvious challenge, but Jana gladly admits that she looks forward to it. She’s one of the most affable people to meet, but when she talks of her commitment to her clients she is very serious. “I never take for granted the confidence and trust of a family,” she says. “I’ve helped the same family buy four houses within 10 years. You never think that would happen, but it does and it really comes down to their trust in me.”

This REALTOR® of Distinction gives back to the community making donations to Camp Happy Days & Special Times (a camp for children with cancer and their siblings) from each closing and heading up a committee within her office that raises funds for The Palmetto House (a non-profit homeless shelter in Summerville) and the SPCA in Summerville. Jana also makes an annual donation to the American Heart Association and The March of Dimes.

Jana is also very dedicated to her family. She has made Summerville her home since 1985 with Don, her husband of 28 years, and their two sons, Phill and Cameron, both students at Winthrop University. When she finds precious time for hobbies, you can find Jana boating, traveling and gardening.
