REALTOR® of Distinction: Kitti Mullins
When you meet Kitti Mullins, you
realize you have met a REALTOR®
of Distinction. Kitti has a positive
outlook on life, panache for making
friends and a love of travel.
She worked in the group travel
industry before beginning her real
estate career. During this time as a
tour director, she honed her people
and managerial skills that enabled
her to become District Sales Manager
for a major cruise line.
Kitti and her husband had always
wanted to retire in Charleston because
they had spent so much time
sailing here. Kitti explains her affinity
toward the Charleston area in this
way, “This area is so unique in that
you really get the best of everything
– a European flavor in historic
Charleston and the surrounding
beach communities and resorts.”
Upon moving to Charleston in
1989, Kitti decided to pursue a
real estate career, specializing in
resort and island properties. Her
knowledge of the real estate
began at an early age. “My father
was a developer,” Kitti notes, “so I
guess you could say that I grew up
in this atmosphere.”
Her credentials attest to her
commitment to her profession.
She has the following business
designations: Certified Residential
Specialist (CRS), Graduate REALTOR
® Institute (GRI), Certified
Buyer Representative (CBR), and
Certified Consumer Real Estate
Consultant (C-CREC). She also is
a Certified International Property
Specialist (CIPS) candidate, which
connects her to the international
real estate market.
As a life member of the Million
Dollar Club, a member of REALTOR® Roundtable and East Cooper
Top Producers, she has shown her
competence in this field.
When Kitti is not busy helping
her clients, she devotes her energy
toward her family and church.
Her family includes her husband,
adult children, four grandchildren
and her three furry friends of the
feline persuasion.
Through her church, St. Philips
Episcopal, she has been active in
foreign missions into impoverished
areas. “It is a very humbling experience
and I feel fortunate to be able
to help other people,” states Kitti.
“When I’m living in primitive conditions
and meeting people who
are happy when they have so little,
it helps a person gain perspective
in life.”
She says, “Whether it’s real estate
or the travel industry, the fun
part of life is meeting new people
and helping them achieve their
dreams.” Considering that REALTORS® deal with people for their
profession, working with Kitti is
always an adventure.
